Hi, my name is Julianne Nguyen and I am a senior at Troy High School in Fullerton, California. I'm passionate about bio; I've done data analysis and collaborated with undergraduates and professors at UCLA and USC on multiple research papers. I also prioritize mental health: I'm the co-marketing director of a youth mental organization, the Purple Hydrangea Project. I directed a crowdfunding campaign that raised $1.2k for youth mental patients. In school, I'm involved with my school's peer tutoring club and served as secretary for Aerovate Troy Club. In addition, I was also involved in my school's NJROTC program, which is ranked number 1 in Area 11. My most prominent position was when I was Unarmed Regulation for our drill team, placing 4th overall at our state competition. Outside of school, I also like to tutor for English and Biology at Kumon. My hobbies include crocheting and binging shows on Netflix.
I joined Aerovate because I want to create a more enriching learning experience for students and share my passion for science! With this program, I hope to provide more educational and interactive opportunities for students all around the world!

Hi there! I’m Cadence Chang, and I’m currently a senior at Ayala High School in California. Ever since I was little, I’ve had a passion for biology and all things science. This past summer, I conducted online research on improving mass spectrometry methods for measuring cytokines, a type of immune response in the body. Since I aspire to work in medicine or public health, I also have been volunteering at my local hospital for the past two years. I’m passionate about environmental sustainability as well and am currently the Secretary of Dear Trees, a club dedicated to spreading awareness on climate change and fundraising for environmental organizations. During my free time, I love doing anything active, from running through the neighborhood with my high school cross country team to playing Spikeball at the park. I also have a slight obsession with Trader Joe’s, the Hamilton soundtrack, and Avatar the Last Airbender.
I joined Aerovate to support other students’ scientific passions and encourage the beginning of new ones. Since the pandemic has reduced access to supplemental resources, I thought that tutoring would be a great way for me to help my community during these difficult times. Hope to see you around!
